Before the game, I didn’t have confidence. I didn’t fully believe in myself or what I was capable of.

That changed the moment I stepped on the field.

What started with my dad coaching me in baseball turned into something much bigger when I found softball. It gave me courage. It gave me confidence. It taught me how to handle pressure and keep going when things got hard.

But what I’ve come to understand—especially now—is that sports are rarely just about the game.

For so many athletes, this is where something bigger begins.

It’s where young people learn how to lead before they ever have a title.

It’s where they learn discipline, accountability, and how to show up for a team.

It’s where they experience failure—and learn how to get back up stronger.

It’s where confidence is built, not given.

Sports become the training ground for life.

Those lessons didn’t stay on the field for me—they became the foundation of who I am today. As a leader. As a CEO. As a woman who knows how to face tough moments with grit, kindness, and a no-quit mindset.
