Help Send the Nighthawk Band & Orchestra to Perform at California Adventure!

We are a group of proud parents whose children are inspired to be part of the new Nighthawk Orchestra at Florence Nightingale Middle School in Los Angeles.

Recently, the school hired a dedicated and passionate music teacher. In less than two years, Mr. Jose Medina succeeded in forming a school band, orchestra and an impressive Mariachi. We are in awe of his accomplishments! Under the guidance of our incredible music teacher, our students have developed their musical skills, built confidence, and discovered the joy of performing together. Now, our talented students have earned an incredible opportunity; the chance to perform live at Disney California Adventure on June 1st, 2025! This is more than just a performance—it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our 60-member orchestra to shine on a professional stage, celebrate their hard work, and create unforgettable memories. However, as a Title I school, most of our families face financial challenges. The cost of transportation, park admission ($164 each), and other expenses can be overwhelming. That’s where we need your help. We’ve launched this GoFundMe to make it possible for EVERY student to attend—ideally at no cost to their families. Your donation, no matter the size, will directly support a young musician’s dream to perform and participate on this special day.
