We are Made For The Stage, a 2-week FREE youth theatre workshop designed to provide a professional-level theatre experience for students ages 8-18. Theatre is an art form that many people know, but very few get to experience. It is expensive, exclusive, and oftentimes inaccessible due to geographical and financial obstacles. The average theatre workshop for students ranges from 300 to 800 dollars, where they learn for less time and with fewer additional provisions. Made For The Stage is in the business of making theatre accessible for all students who want the opportunity to follow their dream, experience an enjoyable hobby, or just learn something new and have fun.
The essential part of this workshop's success is the involvement and inclusion of our community. That's YOU!!! We work closely with The Salvation Army and Amil Tellers Encore Theatre to keep the students connected to theatre opportunities beyond the workshop. Our dream is large, and we need YOUR help! To keep the program running and completely free for students, we need additional outside funding.
Theatre is an outlet for students to learn the beauty of the world around them, the way people react and respond to different situations, how to communicate and collaborate with people who are different from them, and welcome differences and work through challenges together. Theatre is community, and our youth deserves the opportunity to prepare and learn how to better themselves and the community around them!
Thank you for joining Made For The Stage in creating a lasting impact for these students!
