Located in Waterbury, Connecticut, Roberto Clemente International Dual Language School is a vibrant and growing educational community. Despite being a relatively new institution, with only three years of existence, we are already making a big impact in the lives of our students. Last year, we proudly presented our first-ever student play, and this year, we aim to elevate that experience with an even more exciting and engaging production.
We are reaching out to you for your support and generous donations. As a school with a limited budget, we want to provide our students with a memorable and enriching theater experience, but we need your help to make it possible. Your contributions will be used to cover the costs of costumes, decorations, scenography, lighting, and all the essential elements that will bring this incredible production to life.
This year’s play is titled "Volver a casa" (Coming Back Home). The story follows a little bird from the Amazon jungle who is captured by hunters and taken to the United States, where it lives in a cage. One day, the bird meets a migratory friend who teaches it that its true home lies in the jungle, not in captivity. Together, they embark on a journey filled with adventure, culture, and language as they travel through different countries, learning about the cultures of other birds along the way. In the process, the little bird discovers the power of bilingualism and the importance of embracing one's roots while exploring new horizons.
With your help, we can create a stunning theater experience for our students, allowing them to explore the beauty of diverse cultures while developing their skills in language, performance, and creativity. Your donation will directly impact our ability to provide this unforgettable experience and empower our students to continue dreaming big.
Thank you for your support!
