Hi,

My name is Yael Birch, I live in Houston, Texas and although I was raised with my orthodox family, and I was living in a religious environment, I was never able to get the Jewish education I always wanted. I was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia and due to the minimal resources the Jewish school had at that time my parents were forced to move me to a Public Elementary School for 3rd to 5th grade. During that time I went to shul every week to learn the Parsha and Daven because that was the only way I could learn. I then transferred to an Online Public School for my middle and high school years. I didn't have the opportunity to have Judaic Studies during that time due to my busy secular class schedule.

Now more than ever, I want to have the chance to learn and grow spiritually through attending seminary. I will finally get the learning I need and always wanted. I will have the opportunity to embark on a new journey and experience learning Torah and Halacha in a way I never imagined. I will meet and socialize with girls who want to learn and grow like myself. I will benefit in so many ways at Machon Maayan Seminary.

I have been putting my effort in raising funds in every way possible.
