We are a passionate group of young female soccer players from Watsonville, CA, chasing big dreams both on and off the field. Soccer isn’t just a sport for us, it’s our community, our motivation, and our way to grow stronger together.
This season, we have earned the opportunity to compete in multiple competitive tournaments across California. During these tournaments, we will face strong teams, push our limits, and represent our town with pride. These events will be critical not only for our athletic growth but also for building teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills that last a lifetime. However, we would appreciate your help to get there.
Many of our families face financial barriers, and the cost of club soccer can be very high. Your generous donation would help cover the following:
- Tournament fees
- Uniforms
- Training sessions
- Registration fees
- Equipment
Every dollar goes toward giving these girls the resources, confidence, and opportunities they deserve. We're not just building athletes; we’re building future leaders.
No amount is too small — and even if you can't donate, a simple share would mean the world to us!
Based in Watsonville, CA
❤️ Thank you for supporting local youth sports and empowering young girls through soccer!
Meet our players, ranging in age from 12 to 13 years of age, who come from diverse backgrounds but are united by a common goal: to grow as athletes, as teammates, and as leaders.
Hi, my name is Ahli-Angelic Nieto, and I am a 12-year-old soccer player from Las Lomas. I grew up watching soccer with my grandparents, but I was truly introduced to soccer in 4th grade because we were learning about fractions and percentages. We had to figure out how many shots the team had taken and how many they had scored.
I fell in love with the sport, I was in awe with the players, the shots that they took were impressive, the skills and tricks were amazing, and super cool.
Soccer can and will open so many opportunities for me. I have been selected to play in prestigious camps in Spain, twice. I work really hard everyday to achieve my dream of playing soccer in college. It will be my career to share my love and passion for soccer with the world.
It has already helped me with life skills. Such as leadership skills, social skills and academics.
What I love most about soccer is how it connects people and brings people together.
Hello, my name is Leslie Fabian Pérez and I'm 11 years old. When I was growing up, my dad bought me a soccer ball and invited me to play with him. That's how I fell in love with the game.
My dad later found a coach in a little league and asked if I could join. The team was actually all boys, but that experience taught me to never be afraid and to always work hard no matter who I'm playing with. I practiced every day with my dad, and in my very first game I scored a goal-that moment made me even more passionate about soccer.
After a couple of years, I joined a club where I now train with my coaches, Valentin and Vicente. Playing at a level two years above my age has pushed me to grow so much as a player. More importantly, this team has brought me joy, support, and love from my teammates, which means just as much to me as improving my skills.
Besides soccer, l've also been in competitive swimming for the past three years. On top of that, I completed Junior Guards, where I learned how to be resilient and learned how to swim in the ocean—an experience that gave me even more confidence and strength.
Both sports, along with Junior Guards, have taught me dedication, discipline, and how to believe in myself. I feel grateful for the journey so far, and I'm excited to keep working hard toward my
Hi, my name is Lirio Neftali Llamas Mendez. I am 12 years old and was born in Watsonville, CA. When I was a little kid, my mom, dad, and older brother took me to their soccer games so I could learn how to play soccer. I wasn't really interested in soccer, but when I started getting older, my interest in soccer grew. I looked up to my older brother; I wanted to really be like him, but I turned out to be a goalkeeper, thanks to my coach, Valentin, and Vicente. Thanks to my parents, who supported me and took me to goalkeeper classes, I was able to learn so much and grow as a player. I look up to Memo Ochoa and | Jorge Campos-two professional goalkeepers who inspire me every day. To me, soccer isn't just a sport; it is a place where one can learn new things, make friends, create memories, achieve goals, and create big and great opportunities. Because of soccer, I was able to achieve goals I have always wanted to do, and I cannot wait to achieve more

Hello my name is Angie Hernández Correa and I am a 12 year old girl who plays for Santa Cruz united in Watsonville. I found out about soccer at a young age because my dad will always watch soccer games in the tv and also he used to be a goalkeeper , he enjoyed soccer so much I got to watch Mexico play when I was 4 or 5 years old at a stadium.
I never thought I would be playing soccer at this age right now and how much soccer has depended in my life since I used to always do non physical sports like ballet and gymnastics. The day I touched a soccer ball and started dribbling with it, I knew from that moment I wanted to play soccer and that’s when I joined Valentine’s and Vicente’s team which was known as breakers fc back then, which made me begin my soccer journey.
My team is like a family to me. We go through everything together like winning, losing, getting tired together, traveling, etc. I want to make my family proud and not make them worry about money. in order for that to happen, I committed to work hard every day to get better and better and have a positive mentality to continue going far into my soccer career when I’m older
I truly want to make my dreams happen in the future so for that I’m so grateful for my coaches and parents who support me and trying their hardest everyday so they can to make my dreams possible.
Hello, my name is Diana Martinez . I am twelve years old and I live in Watsonville CA. I love playing soccer ever since I saw my older sister playing soccer and when she was it would look so cool when she did tricks and shot the ball and that’s when I decided that I would play soccer too.I started playing in a recreational team in Watsonville. But then covid hit and I had to stop playing. After covid, I still wanted to play but my dad couldn’t find an all girls team, so he posted
an announcement about him making an all girls soccer
team because his friend(coach Valentín)said he could help since he was coaching my sisters and his daughters team at the time.Surprisingly,a lot of girls showed up.i never would have guessed that we would be playing in gold division almost two years after. But I am so happy that
we could get to this point. I am so blessed to be a part of this team because I got to make so many great friends and memories.Lastly I am forever grateful for the time and dedication from our coaches, and the relationship I have with these girls.
Hello, my name is Melanie Pineda-Mendez. I started playing recreational soccer 3 years ago at the YMCA in Watsonville, where I am from. I have always liked sports, I have done boxing, swimming, jijutsi, basketball, but SOCCER is the sport that I fell in love with. I love to go to the soccer field and kick the ball out and practice by myself, with my coaches and my team members. Two years ago,I had the opportunity to join a competitive soccer team. I am grateful to be part of that team because I have made good friends, my coaches are very good at coaching, and thanks to them I have improved my soccer skills. On every
game we always try to do our best, we know that if we keep practicing we can become better and better each game. I also love to learn about the history of soccer, watch soccer videos and learn about professional soccer players. They are an inspiration for me because one day I would love to be a professional soccer player. I am also learning that it is very important to be disciplined, consistent, responsible and have good communication skills. Also, I am learning that it is important to know that in games sometimes we win or we lose but as long as we are doing our best we can always work hard to improve ourselves.
