This summer, I have the privilege of working closely with and mentoring a group of dedicated young leaders who are serving as unpaid volunteer counselors in training at the beautiful Owasippe Scout Reservation.
These volunteers, like 15-year-old Jamie, are embracing the Scouts of America's mission to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
Why I Need Your Help
As volunteers, these young leaders are dedicating their time without financial compensation, balancing significant responsibilities while managing their personal care and growth. Being away from home for eight weeks, they are learning invaluable life skills in leadership, self-reliance, and community service.
