Meet Vince. He is a member of the Lummi Nation out of Bellingham, WA. Vince is a spark and the future of this Salish Sea Tribe. His passion for fighting for the future of his Tribe, his culture that centers around salmon, and for nature is contagious and a real inspiration. Vince holds a Bachelors Degree in Native Environmental Science - the first in his family to get a degree. He is a Coast Salish carver and painter and he plays Native American flute!

Circumstances of life have left him a single father while holding a full-time job with Lummi Natural Resources. Vince is left to raise his 4 kids out of a 600-square-foot apartment. Recently, the number of people in his apartment has grown to 7 - with his 21-year-old son moving back home, and his 15-year-old niece who also moved in, escaping a very bad situation at her home. Nevertheless, he is an amazing dad who does everything he can to raise the future generation of the Lummi Tribe. As I write this GoFundMe appeal, he is hosting a birthday party for his 7-year-old son.

Currently, Vince’s vehicle needs expensive repairs. Even if the funds were there for the repairs, he would be left without transportation for his family while the car gets fixed. This GoFundMe is to raise money to fix his vehicle, provide money for another vehicle for his teenager so she can be more independent, and to provide some relief and support to help feed, clothe, and provide resources for his family.
