Empower URTF Throws With New Equipment

Hello all former University of Rochester throwers, friends, and family!

This GoFundMe is set to support the URTF Throws Squad and Coach Rose in getting the equipment that will take them to the next level. The current squad is full of hard working, committed, and extremely talented student-athletes, and it's been a long time since UR Throws has been represented at Nationals. There are members of this squad now who have the talent to make it; all they need is the equipment to put them on a level playing field with the other best throwers in the country.

A brand new, high tech tungsten weight can add meters to a throw compared to a conventional, lower cost lead weight. While Coach Rose has been able to repair UR's weights for several years, the team is badly in need of new equipment. The track & field team is large and only so much of the athletic department budget can be distributed for necessary equipment each season. Your support will allow the team to cover these important large equipment expenses, giving UR athletes a better chance at making it to the biggest stage in D3.

This team meant a lot to all of us during our time at UR. This is a chance to give a special opportunity to the current throwers, and give back to Coach Rose after he gave so much to us.
