Empower Under-resourced Youth: TNBT Pitch Competition
Donation protected
Hi everyone!
My name is Jonah Meyuhas, and I’m organizing The Next Big Thing, a business pitch competition in Santa Monica that allows high school students to bring their entrepreneurial ideas to life. Inspired by Shark Tank, this event challenges young innovators to develop creative solutions, refine their business models, and pitch their ideas to a panel of experienced judges. Our goal is to provide funding to students with great ideas but without the necessary capital to start.
We’re aiming to raise $2000 to make this competition a reality. Every dollar helps a young entrepreneur take a step toward their dream!
How it works:
The competition begins with an application process, during which students submit their business concepts via video. The top initiatives are then selected to compete in a finals round. On the event day, each finalist will present their idea and be evaluated by a panel of judges/"investors"(composed of experienced entrepreneurs and business professionals), that will challenge them on their market strategy, feasibility, and potential for success. Competitors will then be asked questions in a Q&A and will be assessed on their on-the-spot-thinking ability. At the end of the competition, the winner(s) will receive a grant from the judges/investors to help bring their business ideas to life.
Where Your Money is Going:
Your donations will be distributed to our panel of judges/investors, who will use the money to evaluate and support the finalists. After reviewing the pitches, they will issue a check directly to the winning team as a grant to help fund and launch their business idea.
Be a Part of Something Bigger
By donating, you’re not just supporting an event—you’re investing in the future of young innovators. Whether it’s $5 or $500, your contribution will directly impact students looking to make a difference in the world through their ideas.
Thank you for believing in the power of young entrepreneurs! Please consider donating and sharing this campaign to spread the word
