Imagine a family that struggles to afford enough nutritious food for their children. Through the Green Youth Movement, they gain access to practical training, seedlings, and a local demonstration farm that teaches them how to grow diverse, healthy food on their own land. What begins as a garden leads to better nutrition, lower food costs, new income opportunities, and a healthier future for their children.
Green Youth Movement exists to help families move from food insecurity to self-sufficiency by empowering local youth to restore the land, grow food, and share knowledge throughout their communities.
A $16,000 investment will secure three acres of land in Uganda that will become a demonstration farm, food forest nursery, and community education center. Rather than funding a one-time project, donors will help create a replicable model that trains local volunteers, improves food security, restores soil health, and lays the foundation for long-term community-led growth.
