Who We Are:
Anteater Combat Engineering (ACE) is a student-led organization at UC Irvine that unites creative minds from various engineering disciplines to design, build, and compete with combat robots. Our mission is to provide students with hands-on experience in robotics while applying real-world concepts learned in class. Members collaborate to build remote-operated robots equipped with powerful electromechanical weaponry, engaging in exhilarating battles.
Looking Ahead:
We’re committed to growing the ACE program, expanding our robotic fleet, and making a lasting impact within our community and beyond.
1) Lightweight Fleet: This fleet consists of our 1lb and 3lb robots, last year completing 10 1lbs and 1 3lb robot, we are expanding our fleet this year, with an already expanding fleet of nearly 30 1lbs and more 3lbs on the way.
2) Heavyweight Fleet: This fleet consists of our 12lb and 30lb robots, our first 12lb, Antihilator is our main flagship robot. This fleet represents the most innovative and the best of our robots, diving into more advanced manufacturing and designing to make the most effective combat robot.
3) UCI-Hosted Competitions: Besides building robots, one of our major objectives is to organize a collegiate league for combat robotics. We are seeking to develop more arenas to host collegiate competitions at UCI to unite California university students in competitive robotics.
4) Foster Community Connections: Combat robotics is also a community, we plan to work with local and university teams to work together to develop a stronger community through volunteering, mentorship, and assistance.

How You Can Help Us:
Philanthropic support is essential to ACE’s growth and success. Your contributions will help us purchase components, travel to competitions, and host on-campus events. Every dollar raised strengthens our ability to innovate and inspire, ensuring that UCI continues to lead in robotics education. Together, we can empower the engineers of tomorrow to push the boundaries of what’s possible—on campus, in competition, and beyond!
