Empower Thomas Wheelock's Journey with a Motorcycle
Donation protected

Thomas Wheelock, currently a Case Manager and Peer Advocate with Paws For Life K9 Rescue, has dedicated his life to helping individuals reenter society following incarceration. His own journey to personal reform began while serving 23 years in prison, where he earned five associate degrees and a bachelor’s degree in Communications. He discovered a passion for helping others through trauma-informed therapy and rehabilitation programs, ultimately channeling these skills to work with dogs and people at Paws For Life.
Thomas’s involvement with Paws For Life K9 Rescue began while he was still incarcerated, where working as a dog trainer and being part of the program helped him develop empathy and compassion. After his sentence was commuted by Governor Jerry Brown in 2018, Thomas continued working with the organization as a free man. Today, he remains deeply involved in their work, including training dogs and transporting them to different states to find forever homes.
Thomas also has a personal dream: he hopes to one day own a motorcycle ( MT09 ) and is working towards saving enough to make that a reality. His story is one of resilience and dedication, both to self-growth and to supporting others on similar paths. Any donation to help make that dream a reality would be greatly appreciated.
