Empower the Future: Support Skillbox Workshops

We are excited to introduce you to the FreePLAY Skillbox Workshops—a transformative program designed to empower the youth of Brenu Village, Ghana, by equipping them with essential life and trade skills. This program will provide young adults aged 16-25 with the tools they need to build better futures, for themselves and their community.

Why Brenu Village?

Brenu Village is a small, vibrant community with incredible potential, but like many rural areas, it faces challenges in providing its youth with opportunities for personal and professional growth. Our Skillbox Workshops aim to bridge this gap by offering hands-on, practical education in various life and trade skills. These skills will not only enhance their employability but also inspire entrepreneurship and self-sufficiency.

About the Skillbox Workshops:

Comprehensive Learning: Over the course of a year, participants will engage in full-day workshops covering everything from digital literacy to carpentry, public speaking to plumbing, and much more.

Incentivized Participation: To ensure maximum engagement, each student will receive a stipend of $10 per class. This not only encourages attendance but also provides much-needed financial support.

Expert Instruction: Our program is led by experienced instructors who are passionate about sharing their knowledge. Each instructor will receive $100 per course, ensuring they are fairly compensated for their time and expertise.

Quality Education: We want every student to have the best possible experience, which is why each course will have materials provided at a cost of $50 per course.

Our Funding Needs:

To make this program a reality, we need to raise $30,000. Here’s how the funds will be allocated:

Student Stipends: $15,000

Each student will receive $10 per class, totaling approximately 1,500 class sessions over the year.

Instructor Fees: $10,000

We will engage expert instructors for 100 courses, with each receiving $100 per course.

Course Materials: $5,000

Each course will be supplied with the necessary materials, at a cost of $50 per course.
