Empower Teens: Donate to Deep South Academy
Donation protected
My name is Rickey Favon Wilson, and since 2010 I’ve been working to give young men and women a second chance through hands-on automotive training.
I’m the founder of Deep South Automotive Academy, a youth development program that teaches real-life auto skills and personal discipline to teenagers who need a new direction. We began in New Orleans, moved to Slidell, and today we’re rooted in Amite, Louisiana—still carrying out the same mission: helping youth between the ages of 15–18 gain tools, confidence, and real-world skills to succeed.
This is an 8-week training program where we teach automotive mechanics, auto detailing, and window tinting. It costs $1,200 per student, which includes tools, uniforms, and mentorship.
This year, we’re proud to be working with the Juvenile Court system to give young people a second chance through education and trade skills. These are students who might otherwise fall through the cracks—but now they’re in a program that believes in their future.
Some of our students can’t afford the program. That’s why I’m asking for your help.
Your donation will go directly toward student scholarships, classroom tools, and program expansion. We’re also working toward purchasing a 15-passenger van to take students on educational field trips and job site visits—to expose them to careers, trades, and real opportunities.
Every dollar you give helps change a life:
• $50 helps buy a uniform
• $100 helps with tools
• $1,200 sponsors one full student
• Larger gifts help us move closer to buying a van
No donation is too small. Even if you can’t give, please share this with someone who believes in helping young people rise up and win.
I’ve been doing this from my heart, my pocket, and my faith. But now I’m ready to let others help carry the vision too.
We bring life. We bring change.

Thank you for believing in these students—and in the mission.
