We are thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity for our Advanced Placement African American Studies students at TechBoston Academy: a trip to Washington D.C.!

This once-in-a-lifetime experience will immerse our students in the rich history and culture of African American contributions to our nation through visits to landmarks like the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American Culture and History, a tour of the illustrious Howard University, and a tour to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial.

Our trip is being organized by the extraordinary Ms. Tanisha Milton, who was honored as Boston Public Schools' Teacher of the Year. Ms. Milton’s dedication to our students is unparalleled, and her recent appearance on the Jennifer Hudson Show alongside Michelle Obama is a testament to her inspiring work.

This trip aligns with the mission of our AP African American Studies class, which has been an empowering addition to our school curriculum. In the inaugural year of the class, Tanisha Milton’s AP student at TechBoston Academy scored 13.8% higher than students across the country!
