Tarrin Kelci Dewberry, born and raised in Detroit, is a proud product of the Detroit Public Schools Community District. A high-achieving graduate of Bates Academy and Renaissance High School, Tarrin recently earned her Bachelor's degree in Computational Biology from the prestigious Brown University, Class of 2025 — made possible by a full scholarship.

Now, she is embarking on her next chapter, having been accepted into the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor to pursue her Master’s in Bioinformatics. While she has received funding to cover the first year of her two-year program, the second year remains unfunded, presenting a financial challenge.

As she returns to Michigan with hopes of securing a paid internship or position in her field, we are rallying support to help ease the burden of housing, transportation, and essential academic supplies during her time in Ann Arbor.
