“My name is Suzette, and I’m reaching out for support as I work to complete funding for an educational and cultural immersion trip to Ghana, West Africa, taking place May 12th-23rd. This journey is more than travel - it’s an opportunity to deepen my understanding of African history, culture, and community resilience in ways that directly strengthen the work I do here at home.

As someone committed to serving the needs of marginalized and unhoused Black women in Los Angeles, this trip will allow me to bring back knowledge, practices, and cultural insights that can enrich the cultural understanding of the healing work that needs to be centered in our community.

Honestly, it’s been overwhelming trying to put the financing together for this trip. I’m grateful to have made it to this point.
