Empower student minds: Fund the Texas School 42 Championship

My name is Randle Moore. I am a high school teacher in San Antonio, TX. At age 14, I began learning to play 42, now known as Texas 42. Texas 42 is the best table game ever invented. It strengthens a player's sense of mathematical logic and integrates that skill into a game of strategy, bluffing, finesse, sneaky moves, and cunning. Simply put, it a great preparation for life.
Two years ago, I started a 42 club at my high school. It started slowly and built momentum. Now, the club meets twice a week to accommodate student schedules. We have an active core of 12 student members.
Last year, I started the Texas School 42 Championship in the central Texas location of Liberty Hill. I took nine students from the club to competition. We swept the event. This year, the second state school tournament will be held in Marble Falls, on Saturday, Feb. 15th. I have a firm commitment from a school in north Texas and a tentative commitment from a central Texas school to send students to compete. We need to raise funds for two purposes: $100 for event hall rental and $600 for student commerative T-shirts. T-shirts for adults will be available at cost. Student participants will receive shirts at no cost.
The minimum number of students to represent a school is two. There is no maxiumum to the number of students representing a school. Single students may compete in the singles catagory.
The winning school will recieve pocession of a traveling trophy for one year. First, second, third, and fourth place partners will receive ribbons.
Here is a link to the current version of Notice of Tournament. What ever you wish to contribute toward raising a new generation of 42 players would be greatly appreciated. Contributors of $100 or more will be listed as a sponsor on the back of the commerative T-shirt. Funds raised in excess of our goal will be used to support school 42 clubs.
