In my 30+ years as an educator, I have had the privilege of working with some stellar students. Stacie Dassie is one of the most stellar! Precocious, friendly, spiritual, 10-talented, student leader and highly intelligent, this 16 -year-old is an inspiration to be around. Among her many gifts, Stacie is a self-taught artist. Her artwork, however, like her other skills is "next level"! She abounds with creativity and sensitivity with a touch of the whimsical and fun. Stacie has generously shared her artistic sense by teaching younger students at our school this year, who exuberantly follow her lead.
When I heard that Stacie had an opportunity to attend a summer workshop at one of the best art and designs schools in the U.S. (The California College of the Arts, San Francisco), I wanted to do everything I could to help make this possible. The $2200 dollar tuition is beyond what she and her family can afford (just over a year ago, the Dassie family suffered the loss of Stacie's dad.) But I know that there are "believers in kids" like me who can help give this talented young lady a wonderful, enriching experience! Your gift, of any size, is welcomed. Funds that exceed my goal will go to help Stacie continue her art education. Thank you for helping Stacie soar! Dr. J. Philip Williams, Principal, Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy, Pleasant Hill, CA
