Empower Special Ed with large magnetic white boards
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Mrs. Bowman, and I’m a special education teacher at Ashburn Elementary School, where I teach English Language Arts to students in grades 3rd through 6th.
My classroom is a place where learning and creativity thrive, but right now, we’re facing a challenge that’s affecting how we teach and learn.I am reaching out on behalf of my amazing classroom, where every day my students and I work hard to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. Unfortunately, we are in desperate need of two 8'4 magnetic dry erase boards to replace our current whiteboards, which are no longer effective or functional.
The boards we currently use are worn from years of use. They have permanent markings, tape residue, and scratches that make it difficult to write or project lessons onto them. Since our school district has limited funding, we don’t have access to a Smart Board, which means our whiteboards are the backbone of our teaching and learning. I often have to spend time readjusting the projector or working around the flaws on the boards, which takes away from valuable instructional time.
New magnetic dry erase boards would make a world of difference for my students. They would not only serve as a cleaner, more reliable surface for teaching but would also allow us to incorporate magnets for interactive lessons, enhancing hands-on learning opportunities. These boards would improve visibility, functionality, and the overall classroom experience for my students.
We’re asking for your help to raise $600 to cover the cost of two high-quality magnetic dry erase boards and their installation. Any amount you can contribute will make a huge difference, and if you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign would also mean the world to us.
Thank you so much for helping us create a better learning environment for our classroom. Your support truly makes a difference in the lives of my students!
With gratitude,
Mrs. Marjorie Bowman
