I am raising funds for one of my dearest friends, Shelly Dolbec, to have an life changing experience through the Atlas Project. The program teaches self awareness, creates a space of inner healing through supported and empowered self transformation. Shelly’s vision for her life is to experience freedom, empowered choice, and an abundant life. And instill this in her 4 sons, daughter in laws, and her grandchildren through her example. She is a healer among healers, often finds herself as a caregiver or in related healthcare fields. She is a massage therapist by trade, and instilled in her sons to give back to their community through service in local soup kitchens and jumps on any opportunity to do so as a way to spend time with friends and in her community.

She is an amazing, supportive, loving friend to me of 6 years and was a stand for me when I was in my young 20s. She reminded me that you can always find a way to make it, even when it seems like it’ll never happen again.

Shelly also dreams of reopening her caregiver business, and an apothecary shop where she can invite her community of artisans to gather and share their knowledge and their wares, creating a meeting place for her community. Shelly has a creative, vibrant soul filled with love for others, a heart of service, and safe harbor for her family of choice.

It would be the greatest gift I could give her for what she’s taught me through her being, showing me that there’s always a way when you keep your drive and keep moving. And supporting me through some the worst of my depression just by being that safe harbor I needed at the time.

She is a second mother to so many young people in her life, she creates ripples through her loving and accepting heart, and will continue to do so. That I am sure of.
