Empower Sheila's Journey to Recovery and Success
Donation protected
My sister, Sheila, is one of the most caring and giving women I know. She has always put others above herself, and steps up for so many people behind the scenes. The last year or so have been very overwhelming and trying - multiple surgeries for work-related issues (carpal tunnel), taking in the child of a friend who passed away and her son/his girlfriend and her new grandson as well. All of these things have depleted her savings. Then, last week, she suffered a bizarre accident at work and now has a broken right foot for which she was offered very little compensation, even after working there over 20 years. This has caused her to make a major change in her life - she has decided to leave her place of employment and set out on her own by renting a booth in a local salon to continue her profession as a nail technician. This will also give herself time to heal properly, which is something her employer was not willing to do, as she is currently unable to drive. I'm hoping that the community of friends I have, and Sheila's friends as well, will step up and help her establish capital to fund her new venture. She will need to purchase supplies and equipment to get going, which are not inexpensive. I have a lofty goal of $5,000 - but every little bit helps. I know the power of friendship and love can overcome even the largest obstacles - I have seen it in my own life as well. All donations are appreciated! Thank you!
