Hi everyone! My name is Shanice Way, and I’m a proud civil engineering student at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University preparing to attend the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) 2026 Annual Convention in Baltimore, MD.

This five-day event is more than just a conference—it’s a launchpad for Black excellence in STEM, and I’m determined to be there.

As a transfer student navigating new beginnings, NSBE has been my anchor. Attending this convention means access to:

• Internship and job opportunities with top engineering firms

• Workshops and competitions to sharpen my technical skills

• ️ Networking with Black engineers and innovators from across the country

• ️ Celebrating our legacy and building bridges for future generations

But here’s the reality: travel, lodging, registration, and meals add up. As I balance college expenses and prepare for a major move, I’m asking for your support to help me get there.

My goal is to raise $800 to cover:

• NSBE registration fees

• Roundtrip travel from North Carolina to Baltimore

• Hotel stay and meals

• Professional attire and materials
