On behalf of the Elm and Kittel families, we are raising funds for Samantha Elm, loving daughter of Dennis and Heidi, who are now together forever in Heaven.

Samantha lost her father, Dennis, in late 2017 and recently also suffered the tragic loss of her mother, Heidi, in November of 2024. This has left a huge hole in her life as well as countless loss of love, experience, connection, and opportunity. She is on her own now at the age of 19 for the first time. Although she is very eager to start her life, she is going to have to start from behind, given the fact that she hasn't yet received much of a formal education and has yet to secure her first employment opportunity.

Samantha is a bright, motivated, extremely intelligent, and capable young woman, with a real desire to create a life for herself as an independent entity. While difficult to discuss, the reality is that both Sam's mother and father suffered from lifelong addiction problems. While they loved Samantha dearly and did their best to provide for her, the pitfalls of addiction made it very difficult to offer Sam all that she truly deserves in life.

It's tough to admit that Sam is now starting her life over, without her parents, and with a severe handicap. Her grandparents on both sides are there to support as they can. However, the years of dealing with the drug addictions and unfortunate situations therein have left them exhausted mentally, emotionally, and financially.

We seek financial support for Samantha, to help get her on her way. This includes, but is not limited to, a formal education, vocational training, driver's ed, and hopefully her own transportation, as well as a general cushion for her to alleviate the pain and stress of starting from zero while navigating the effects of a very deep and serious loss.

The family is beyond grateful for any and all help we receive for Sam, and all funds will go directly into a savings account set up for her and her bright future. Thank you in advance for your generosity, love, and compassion.
