My name is Robert Holder, Class of 2025, and a recent graduate of St. John the Baptist High School. For the past nine years, football has been more than just a sport for me, it has been my passion, my peace, and a driving force in my life. From the very beginning, I’ve dreamed of playing football at the highest level, and I am determined to turn that dream into reality.
I also have a deep interest in a career that revolves around sports, which is why I plan to major in Exercise Science and Kinesiology. My long-term goal is to build a career in physical therapy and personal training, using my experience and education to help others achieve their full potential, both on and off the field.
To help me take the next step toward both my academic and athletic goals, I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to attend Milford Academy in New Berlin, NY. Milford is well-known for its strong academic support and excellent track record in placing student-athletes into competitive college football programs. This experience would allow me to continue developing as a student and as an athlete, increasing my chances of earning an opportunity to play for a college program.
However, this opportunity comes with financial challenges. That’s why I’m reaching out to humbly ask for your support, whether through sponsorship and/or donations, to help me attend Milford Academy this fall.
I understand that nothing is guaranteed. But I can promise you this: I am hardworking, disciplined, and full of faith. I’ve been through enough to know that challenges are part of the journey, and they don’t define us; how we respond does. "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord" Psalm 37:23. I believe God is not finished with me yet.
During my senior year, my family faced one of its toughest battles. My mother was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Even in the face of pain and uncertainty, she remained strong, showing us what true faith and resilience look like. Her strength inspired me every single day to keep pushing forward, even when things felt impossible. I owe so much to her and both of my parents for their endless sacrifices and support.
Now, I want to honor everything they’ve poured into me by doing everything I can to succeed. With your help, I’ll have a chance to take one step closer to my dream. I'm asking you to stand in faith with me, believing that with determination, prayer, and the right support, anything is possible.
Thank you for your time, your prayers, and your generosity. I will carry your support with pride and purpose, and I promise to make the most of every opportunity ahead.
With gratitude,
Robert Holder
