Empower Reem's Family to Overcome War Impact

Hello! My name is Nishat Mostafa, I am a registered nurse from Brooklyn, NY, and I am helping a friend who is suffering from the occupation, Reem, and her resilient family. She is a healthcare worker at Al Awda Hospital in Gaza, helping women through labor under difficult and underfunded circumstances. Here is a message from her:

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE US ALONE!

This war stole everything beautiful from us.

We lost our Father and older brother,

We Lost our homes, our universities, schools, and our jobs!

I'm Reem, a Medical student at the 5th level, I want to continue my studies and my dreams that were killed by war.

I don't know how or when I can return to my studies or where to travel to continue.

I have young sisters and brothers,

Hoor my youngest sister at 2 years old,

Misk at 4 years old, Yazan at 6 years old,

Mahmoud, Rawan, and Malak are 11, 10, and 9 years old respectively.

They need a suitable place, food, and life to be safe and healthy.

I want to help my mother to take care of and raise them, to save them from the effects of war.

As you may know, sending money directly to Gaza has been proven to be difficult. Especially for Reem, as her father (who unfortunately has been martyred) was the only one who had access to a bank account. Thankfully, Reem's cousin, Muawia M. K. Alayy, resides in Turkey and has offered to accept the donations, which he can transfer to his father's account who is also in Gaza and in direct contact with Reem.

***UPDATE***

Reem received the first lump sum of $1,694.88 on 06/30/2024 and it has provided them with great relief to help meet the nutritional needs of all of her young siblings. However, being able to cross the border into Egypt is extremely costly ( approximately USD 5-10k per person). The more we donate, the more we can do. Let's continue to support a healthcare worker on the frontlines of Gaza!
