Empower Queer Artists: Support BIGKID DANCE

BIGKID DANCE has been advocating the queer dance community and making impactful dance works since 2021. Our mission still rings true, as our priority is to bring people together through our art making. With your support, we have been able to provide a safe space for queer dance artists to flourish, grow and connect to themselves and community on a deeper level.

As the world around us closes in and art funding is being extensively cut, we need your support now more than ever.

BIGKIDS has some awesome opportunities approaching in 2025 and 2026, and your support will go a long way in bringing them to fruition. For the immediate, we are seeking support for an upcoming touring opportunity.

Touring our new work "If I Die Before the Revolution"

We are in the early stages of building this new evening length dancer theater work. We will premier this new work at Maryland Hall in Annapolis MD, September 20th 2025. We are super excited about this touring opportunity, and we need financial support to cover costs for:

-Rehearsal space

-Artist fees

-Production materials (music, set design, costume design)

-Travel

BK Summer Program 2025

A week of workshops from influential queer interdisciplinary artists and the opportunity to work with director Mark Caserta in an intimate creative process setting. BK Summer/Winter Program has been supporting dance artists since 2021 in their efforts to grow, network and be a part of a greater community. Help us continue this amazing program and support these amazing artists!

Touring "If I Die Before the Revolution" at DancePlace

We plan to bring "If I Die..." back to DancePlace (DC) for a second premier. We began our creative process for this work in residence at DancePlace in 2024. Help us get back there to present the full work in 2026!
