Help Prince Access the Education He Deserves
Hi family, my name is Ìyá Adzua Opare and I am the proud mother of my amazing son, Aremo Prince. Prince is a bright, loving, and resilient 8-year-old boy who also happens to have Down syndrome. He has defied so many odds and continues to bring joy and wisdom to everyone who knows him.
Like every child, Prince deserves an education that nurtures his potential, meets his needs, and allows him to thrive.
Unfortunately, the public school system has not been able to provide him with the individualized support and environment he needs to truly succeed. That is why we are pursuing placement in a non-public special education school—a setting where Prince will be celebrated, supported, and given the tools to glow & grow.
This fight is not easy. Securing a non-public school placement often requires legal advocacy to ensure that children with disabilities receive the education they are entitled to under the law.
We have chosen to work with Goodwin-Oquendo Law Firm P.C., an incredible all-Black female law firm that specializes in fighting for the educational rights of children with disabilities. With their expertise and passion, I know Prince will finally have the chance to attend a school that is right for him.
Why We Need Your Help
Legal representation and the process of securing a non-public school placement are costly. Your generous contributions will go directly toward:
• Legal fees for Goodwin-Oquendo Law Firm P.C.
• Educational advocacy support
• Costs associated with securing Prince’s placement into a non-public school
Our Goal
We are raising $1,000 to cover these expenses and ensure that Prince has access to the education he deserves. Every dollar makes a difference and brings us closer to opening the doors to a brighter, more inclusive future for him.
How You Can Help
• Donate — Any amount, big or small, is deeply appreciated.
• Share — Please share this campaign with your network, family, and friends.
• Stand with us — By supporting Prince’s journey, you are also standing up for children with disabilities everywhere. You are also helping to empower parents to stand strong and know that they can be supported in their advocacy for their children.
We thank all of you who have shared our journey with us thus far
Prince has already taught me and so many others the meaning of resilience, love, light, and grace. With your help, we can ensure his light continues to shine in a school where he is understood, valued, and given every chance to soar.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you for being part of this fight for Prince’s future.
With gratitude,
Ìyá Adzua Opare
