Help Me Become a Trained Immigration Advocate Through the VIISTA Program
Every day, thousands of immigrants face the U.S. legal system completely alone. Six out of ten migrants appear before a judge without any legal representation, often without understanding the language, the law, or their rights. This reality truly moves me, and it has inspired me to take action.
I am raising funds to enroll in the VIISTA Program (Villanova Interdisciplinary Immigration Studies Training for Advocates)—a groundbreaking university-based program designed to train people like me to provide essential legal support to immigrant and refugee families. VIISTA is 100% online, flexible, and created by leading professors, lawyers, and immigration experts.
Why This Matters
VIISTA prepares students to become effective immigration advocates who can assist vulnerable families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. After completing the full program, graduates are eligible to apply for Department of Justice (DOJ) accreditation, allowing them to provide low-cost legal representation to migrants in need.
This program teaches everything required to support immigrants with dignity and competence, including:
Interviewing clients
Working with interpreters
Supporting migrant children
Understanding why people migrate
Trauma-informed care
Trial advocacy and preparing for hearings
Immigration law and real-world practice
VIISTA is more than education—it is preparation for real impact.
Why I Need Help
The full cost of the program is $4,300, which includes:
Tuition for all modules
Required materials
Learning resources
Time dedicated to training and advocacy preparation
This investment will allow me to gain the skills needed to serve immigrant and refugee families who cannot afford legal representation.
How Your Support Helps
Every contribution brings me closer to completing this life-changing program and becoming a strong, compassionate advocate for those who too often must stand alone. Your support helps create real change—one family, one case, one act of justice at a time.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in this mission and for helping me take this step toward serving our immigrant community.
