Empower Ohio Youth With Camp POWER

If you have read my book, Finish Line Feeling, you already know my best childhood memories are from the week in June that my family spent in Ocean City, New Jersey. It was an annual summer vacation from the time I was adopted until I graduated from high school. The sights, sounds, and smells of the surf, sand, and boardwalk remain vivid in my mind and are a huge part of the extra dose of freedom and joy I directly associate with my childhood summers.

Ah!! How amazing were those carefree days that we derive happiness from simply by reminiscing upon the nostalgia, and also do all we can to recreate the beauty and magic of a summer trip for our own families?!

Way too many kids will never know this special thrill or have the opportunity to create such important and fond summer memories. Many of the kids in Girls With Sole live in Ohio near the lake and have never been to the water. They have never even visited a zoo or had any quintessential childhood experiences.

PLEASE HELP support this year's Camp POWER so 10 of our youth can make memories that will last a lifetime!! The funds will pay for a five day camp that focuses on Perseverance, Optimism, Wisdom, Energy, and Resilience. Our excursions will include Common Ground Canopy Tour, Majestic Meadows, The Bubble Project, Hiking, and more. We also supply art projects, meals, and much more.
