Support Our Gym's Competitive Journey!

Our gym, North Austin Strong, is raising funds to send one athlete and coach to the Wodapalooza competition in Miami, Florida, January 23-26th, 2025. Your support will help cover their flights (around $350 each) and shared accommodations (estimated at $750?). However, this experience is not just about one event; it’s the first step in creating a culture of competition and excellence within our community.

We have chosen to specify a fundraising goal higher than we need for this trip. That is because we want to create a rolling fund, something that is ongoing, as a way to support this type of competitive spirit for those who might need support or motivation moving forward. Beyond what has been specified for this event, any additional funds raised will support other athletes' entry fees and travel costs as they prepare for future competitions. Together, we can inspire our athletes to dream bigger, train harder, and reach new heights.

The funds will not be used for personal food, entertainment, etc. We want this fund to be exclusively used for competition fees and travel costs. We hope this fund creates an opportunity for more athletes to train and compete in events like Wodapalooza, TFX, BCS Classic, etc. Some of those events have significant entry fees, travel requirements, etc.

If/when this fund grows, we will be more specific about what types of events qualify for reimbursement and how to request that funds be used for your event. We will not use this fund for 'Online Qualifiers' or things like the CrossFit Open. This fund is targeted at higher-level competitions where cost is a more significant barrier to entry.
