My name is Nicole Allen, and I am currently enrolled in the MSN Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program at East Tennessee State University. I’m excited to be starting this semester and moving one step closer to graduation. While balancing coursework, clinical responsibilities, and life can be challenging at times. I’m feeling motivated and optimistic as I continue progressing toward my goal of becoming an FNP, but I could use a little help.
I currently work in an outpatient clinical setting, which has strengthened my desire to advance my practice and expand my role. After completing the program, I plan to work serving underserved populations in western North Carolina to improve access to care and patient health outcomes.
Balancing employment with rigorous academic and clinical demands has limited my ability to increase work hours without compromising my performance and patient safety. In addition to tuition, required resources and clinical costs have made it difficult to manage the financial responsibility on my own. Your generosity toward my goal is greatly appreciated and I thank you for your support!
