Help Us Build a Brighter Future for the Children of Nias

Since arriving in Nias, we’ve experienced firsthand the beauty of the island and its incredible people. However, opportunities—especially in education and employment—are scarce, making it difficult for children and local teachers to build a better future without leaving their home.

Our neighbor, who lives right in front of Olitas House Nias, is passionate about teaching English but currently lacks stable work. We believe that learning English can open countless doors for the children of Nias, providing them with better job prospects and social opportunities. That’s why we’re setting up a small community space where he can teach daily English lessons, giving local kids access to a brighter future.

Our Mission

For now, classes will take place in the outdoor space at Olitas House Nias, but our dream is to build a dedicated social center where children can learn in a safe, well-equipped environment. This space will not only serve as a classroom but will also function as a community hub where underprivileged children will always have access to essential resources. With donations of clothes, books, and toys from Spain and other countries, we aim to ensure that no child is left without basic necessities.

Why Your Support Matters

In Nias, access to higher education and professional training is extremely limited. There are very few opportunities for children to pursue university degrees or develop specialized skills. Without proper education, many young people struggle to find stable jobs and often have to leave the island in search of better opportunities.

It prepares them for the moment they might have to study or work outside of Nias, giving them the confidence and skills to navigate a world beyond their island.
