*UPDATE*
We have almost met our goal! However, we are still working to raise the last of our registration fees for this conference. My general education colleague and I are raising funds to attend a co-teaching conference through the Bureau of Education. At this conference, we can learn strategies to begin implementing the practices we learned and together support our general and special education students.
___________________________________________________________

Hello, I am a Special Education teacher working with students in TK-5th grade at Garfield Elementary. I am in my 8th year teaching and love my school community. I am currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership & social justice.

I dedicate my work to serving neurodivergent BIPOC students in East Oakland and elevating their strengths & brilliance.

I am collaborating with my general education teacher colleague to support our shared students receiving special education services. In attending a conference focused on co-teaching, we would deepen our practice and learn ways to implement a model that would give students consistent access to accommodations and bridge the relationships between general education and special education to serve all students.
