Help Nedra Fabito Access Life-Saving Cancer Treatment

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

Apparently lightning can strike twice. After successfully navigating through other life-threatening medical issues, our Mom, Nedra, has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer Squamous Cell ASC31 (not spread to lymph nodes), but also has a small spot on lung which will be biopsied soon. While this news has been overwhelming, we are choosing to face this challenge with resilience, and an unwavering trust in the healing process. She has already shown us, and others in her healing community, the power of intentional healing and we have every expectation that she will heal and thrive through this adversity and beyond. We are reaching out with hearts full of hope and belief in the power of healing.

Our mom has spent the last eight years educating herself intellectually and experientially with radical healing results- she even healed completely from a terminal diagnosis a few years ago. She moved to New York because that is where she could convince the world class doctors at Mt. Sinai Medical Center to support her in risking a medication change that she herself had researched and identified as being the right path for her. It was costly, but it was worth every penny because we have had our Mom here with us, living a life that her doctors had once lost hope in.

Her health improved so much that she was able to move back to California in February of 2024 to be closer to us and to open a healing and inspirational book and gift shop. She curated an incredible array of resources to help people heal from emotional and physical wounds. She has become an unwilling expert at navigating our country’s complex medical system and she will tell you that ultimately you are your best care coordinator. Combining her savvy medical know-how with a dedication to spiritual and somatic healing has serendipitously positioned her to face what has become her latest challenge.

Nedra is now wholly focussed on her own healing. After extensive research and consultation with many medical professionals, we have decided to pursue integrative cancer treatment—an approach that combines the best of conventional therapies (radiation, chemotherapy, and possibly surgery) with complementary treatments like nutrition therapy, supplementation, oxygen therapies, IV therapies, and other powerful mind-body techniques. These treatments are designed to support the body in healing, reduce devastating side effects, and strengthen the immune system, all while her body faces the significant toll of painful daily radiation/chemotherapy treatments.

Nedra has good medical insurance that gives her access to UCSD’s Moores Cancer Institute, but the real costs involved in treatment are surprisingly high. We are asking for your help to make this treatment plan a reality. Every dollar raised will go directly toward the cost of treatments, therapies, and medications that will help Mom achieve a full recovery from this cancer. She has done it before. Mom is strong, motivated, and has a nationwide support network. We believe that with the right treatment, love, and energy, Mom can not only overcome this diagnosis but thrive in ways we have yet to imagine.
