Hello everyone!
I’m currently a third-year OTD student preparing for my upcoming capstone in August 2025. My project focuses on developing an acute care and home health obstetric clinical pathway for occupational therapists at a hospital in Springfield, Ohio (Set to be the 3rd program in Ohio)
My ultimate goal is to reduce maternal health complications by creating an inpatient and home-based postpartum therapy program, integrating rehab, pelvic therapy, mental health services, and lactation support. And to do this right, I need specialized training.
I’m incredibly honored to be awarded the Enhanced Recovery After Delivery Trauma-Informed Maternal Health Scholarship, a nationally recognized training that equips healthcare providers to offer life-saving postpartum occupational and physical therapy services in hospitals and homes.
As a full-time doctoral student working full time, covering continuing education expenses like this life-changing ERAD course isn’t easy. That’s why I’m launching this fundraiser to help with course fees and materials.
Postpartum therapy isn’t a luxury; it saves lives. Our society has too long ignored maternal health, expecting mothers to endure in silence. Therapy changes that narrative. It empowers women to heal physically, emotionally, and mentally, all while reclaiming their well-being in a world that too often tells them to put themselves last.
I’d be so grateful for your support through a donation, T-shirt purchase (https://harleyadamson.printful.me), or even a share. Every little bit helps me get one step closer to changing lives in a space that so urgently needs it.
Let’s change the story. Together.
