Support Mindy's Vision for an Inclusive Play Café

My name is Mindy Lenhart. As a dedicated Early Childhood Education Specialist, seasoned Parenting Coach, and accomplished Behavioral Therapist, I am deeply committed to fostering positive development in young minds. With a strong foundation in child psychology and evidence-based interventions, I empower parents and educators with the essential tools and personalized strategies needed for holistic early childhood education and behavioral support. My mission is to continuously grow professionally to make a lasting impact on children and families by integrating the latest research and best practices.

A significant next step in my professional journey is to create a play café that is both inclusive and educational, addressing the ever-evolving needs of early childhood development. This past year, I was diagnosed with both Autism and ADHD, which has inspired me to reflect on my own childhood and the potential benefits of having an educator who could cater to these unique needs. My goal is to build an inclusive environment where all children can thrive, regardless of their developmental challenges.

It’s well-known that inclusive play equipment often comes with a significant cost, which is why I’m reaching out through this GoFundMe campaign.

The play café I envision will be a safe, nurturing space where children of all abilities can learn and grow through play. It will be designed to support the diverse developmental needs of young children, with specialized areas focused on sensory experiences, motor skills, social interaction, and creative expression. By incorporating the latest research on neurodiversity and child development, the café will offer tailored activities and resources that encourage exploration and learning in a way that resonates with each child’s unique strengths.

Additionally, the café will serve as a community hub, providing parents and caregivers with access to workshops, support groups, and expert guidance on navigating the complexities of raising children with different developmental needs. My vision is to create a space where families feel supported, understood, and empowered to help their children reach their fullest potential, whether neurodivergent or neurotypical.

The funds raised will be used to secure a location, design and equip the play areas, and develop programs that cater to the specific needs of children with Autism, ADHD, and other developmental differences.
