Arise The Creative:Coffee, Art and a New Start

♡♡♡What's up friends, family, and supporters. My name is Mikee Arise. I'm a local San Diego street artist, and I stand before you in gratitude and hopes I'm able to relay the vision I see within my mind and convey the passion and dedication I'm putting forward to grow beyond my current situation.♡♡♡

♡♡♡As a full-time artist, I've made a lot of friends and met a lot of supporters along my way. I feel so blessed to have grown up and called San Diego home for over 30 years. In my transparency, I admit I have battled with homelessness (currently on assistance and living in my car). All I have ever done was follow my dreams and make something from nothing. I'm here today seeking your help. I'm ready to stand on my own two feet and grow a business so I'm able to be a productive part of this community and start giving back as well as make a better future for myself in the years to come.♡♡♡

♡♡♡Here is the vision for my business:

Arise mobile art studio/canvas café espresso bar. Let me go into detail on the vision. I will be converting a 4-window diesel mini bus into a mobile art gallery-creation center as well as serving the finest artisan espresso.♡♡♡

♡♡♡With a lot of the laws changing here in San Diego about where I can set up my art and showcase my handmade creations, I was left thinking that I need to revise my career as an artist so I'm able to make an honest living doing what I love, which is making art.♡♡♡

♡♡♡Over the years of selling art on the streets, I've found summer to be the best time of year for art —the sunny vibes, the events held annually, as well as the influx of people to our fine city. Leaving the wintertime to be a slower part of the year.♡♡♡

♡♡♡So I pondered a way to overcome these obstacles and grow. The solution : Arise Studios~Canvas Café Espresso Bar. Yes, combining some of my favorite things: art and coffee culture + my community. So as you help me reach this goal, know in your heart you're investing in the bettering of a life and giving me the key to be able to open the door of success. I'm ready more than ever to rise up and overcome my hardship, to give back to my loving community, and to be the best version of myself. What am I without my friends, family, and supporters?
