Empower Media Women: 2024 National Conference

The Women in Media 2024 National Conference on 9 August 2024 in Sydney is the largest gathering of women media professionals. Whether you're in journalism, the creative industries, advertising or communications, this event is for you. While women across the media landscape are encouraged to attend, we recognise ticket costs and travel expenses can be a barrier for some. That's why we've created the 'Pay It Forward' campaign – and we're hoping you’ll be a part of it! We invite you to make a donation of any size to help cover ticket and travel costs for other amazing women.

Picture this: women from every state and territory across Australia, gathered for a transformative experience that can shape their careers and lives. But here's the catch: for many talented media professionals like contractors, freelancers, those between roles, or just starting out, investing in their own professional development can feel like an uphill battle, out of reach.

This is where you come in. We're calling on our wonderful community to join forces and contribute to this incredible crowdfunding campaign. Our goal is to raise $30,000, which will send not one, but SEVEN deserving delegates to our National Conference. These amazing women will receive conference tickets, airfare, accommodation, and a small stipend to make their journey to Sydney possible.
