My name is Max. I am a 23-year-old trans guy from Philly, and I've been struggling for a while with both financial and housing security. I knew I was trans since I was 17 years old, and I always dreamed of having my top surgery and living authentically as a man. However, due to having difficulties with adapting to my previous job, I am not able to financially care for myself. I also deal with an emotionally unsafe environment at home that makes me feel guilty, hesitant, and uncomfortable being myself, and also, in some instances, made me feel alienated. Because of this, my mental health declined and my dysphoria and need to survive is heightened.

My goal is to work towards living independently, have my top surgery, and to just feel good about myself again; to give myself and my inner child the peace I deserve.
