Matthew Wadephul - Embarking on a Journey to Become a Certified Iboga Provider & Establish a Healing Center

I am reaching out to you today with a heartfelt request for support as I embark on a transformative journey. I am pursuing an intensive 8-week training program at Bwiti House to become a certified Iboga provider under the guidance of a 10th-generation shaman. This immersive experience will provide me with an in-depth understanding of shamanic practices through classroom learning and hands-on experience, including cultural immersion in the Bwiti tradition, authentic healing practices, and learning how to hold healing and psycho-spiritual ceremonies.

Iboga has profoundly impacted my life, helping me overcome depression and find a path towards healing and well-being. I am now driven to offer this medicine to others in a safe, professional, and ethical manner, empowering them to overcome their own challenges and live their best lives. This training will equip me with the knowledge and skills to lead traditional Bwiti ceremonies, administer Iboga medicine following traditional practices and safety protocols, facilitate and guide guests through psycho-spiritual journeys, and conduct one-on-one counseling sessions according to Bwiti teachings. The curriculum covers Bwiti traditions, rituals and ceremonies, and cultural expressions.

My vision extends beyond this training. Upon completion, I plan to establish a dedicated healing center in the Tampa Bay area, offering a safe and supportive environment for individuals to access the transformative potential of Iboga. This center will serve as a sanctuary for healing, providing an alternative path to wellness for those seeking to overcome mental and emotional challenges.
