Empower Marietou & Tracy: Bring Global Talents to the Stage

Hello friends,

We’re excited to share an incredible opportunity to support two inspiring young women, Marietou from Senegal and Tracy from Lebanon, as they embark on a life-changing journey with Staging Her.

Staging Her is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering talented women from developing countries through the performing arts. Our first project brings together eight women from Palestine, Lebanon, Senegal, Rwanda, Zambia, and Ethiopia for an intensive two-month program in the U.S. This program includes professional training, rehearsals, and a performance tour across Colorado. It’s designed to not only hone their artistic talents but also provide them with the tools to inspire and uplift their communities back home.

Meet Marietou and Tracy:

Marietou, from Senegal, has been a passionate circus artist since childhood, mastering aerial arts and acrobatics despite facing societal challenges. Her dream is to use her skills to empower other young women in her community, breaking barriers and redefining what’s possible for women in the performing arts.

Tracy, from Lebanon, has dedicated her life to the performing arts amidst the backdrop of her country’s socio-economic struggles. Her resilience and creativity shine through her performances, and she dreams of sharing her story on a global stage, inspiring others to overcome adversity through art.

Why We Need Your Help:

We’re seeking to raise $20,000 to cover Marietou and Tracy’s expenses, including travel and visas, accommodation, training, and performance costs. Each dollar brings them closer to this transformative experience, where they will gain exposure, refine their craft, and foster cultural exchange.
