Empower Lyric's Future: Nursing Program in London

Dear Angel Donors,

My name is Lyric, and I am currently pursuing my nursing degree at John Caroll University. I am writing to you with great humility to request your support in funding a transformative opportunity that would significantly enhance my education and future career as a nurse.

This summer, I have been selected to participate in an exclusive educational program in London, which is part of my nursing training. The program offers a unique chance to expand my knowledge and understanding of nursing in a global context. It includes a visit to the newly opened Cleveland Clinic in London, located just across from the stunning Buckingham Palace Gardens, where I will have the opportunity to witness firsthand how healthcare is delivered in the United Kingdom and learn from the best in the field.

Throughout the program, I will participate in seminars that explore the differences between healthcare systems in the U.S. and England, discuss cutting-edge innovations in medical education and practice, and engage in bioethical discussions surrounding patient care. The program will also provide me with the invaluable opportunity to interact with experienced physicians and nurses at the Cleveland Clinic, deepening my understanding of the nursing profession beyond the borders of my hometown.

As a future nurse, it is essential to gain exposure to healthcare systems outside of my own community, whether that is in a different city, state, or even country. This trip represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to expand my horizons and learn from healthcare professionals in a new and dynamic setting. Unfortunately, due to the financial constraints of my family, I am unable to cover the cost of this trip on my own. Coming from a lower-income background and being part of a large family, resources for non-essential expenses like this are limited. The cost of the program is approximately $4,000, which is a significant financial burden for me and my family.
