Empower Lynn's Journey to Independence

Hello, my name is Lynn. I'm 53 years old and I'm trying to have a fresh start in life, but this time on my own for the first time in over 20 years. I am a survivor of many things, including domestic violence, cancer, and mental health issues. Just recently, my partner of 5 years and I broke up because my life changes weren't his life changes.

Just recently, in the past year, I became disabled. It's come time to move on and I was approved for an apartment that meets my needs, but I am struggling to have the finances to pay my security deposit and deposit for electricity. I have reached out for assistance but with Congress cutting funding, I'm unable to get help. So, I'm asking for help from here for a little jump start to a new lease on life to start my path to a better life and all I can promise is to pay it forward as I gain a stronger footing. Thank you.
