Empower Lucy Swakei to end female torture in East Africa

On a recent trip to East Africa, I met Lucy Swakei, an amazing Maasi woman. Lucy was circumcised at the age of 12, as is the cultural custom in her community. For over 13 years, she has single-handedly changed her culture and eliminated 99% of female genitalia mutilation in her community. She has more to do. She is asking for a motorbike to take her work to the larger Maasai community, where many villages are far away. Hers is an inspiring story of the power of one that needs to be told.
