Empower Long Beach: Fund the Resource Fair

Hello !

For those who may not know, I am currently pursuing a masters degree in social work at CSULB. As part of our Master’s Program, our group is working with the city of Long Beach to focus on the high rates of unemployment and lack of resource awareness amongst their adult residents. The amount of individuals struggling with unemployment are now being impacted by poverty and unfortunately do not always know what resources are readily available to them during times of crisis. Our hope is to bridge the gap in which we can make resources readily available and known to its residents.

Our team has been connecting with agencies surrounding the city of Long Beach to arrange a resource fair for its residents. The resource fair will serve as an opportunity for residents to get to know what agencies they can connect with that would properly align with their present needs. Your donation will go directly into putting together the resource fair and providing the adequate set up and supplies needed to make it successful and presentable.

Your contributions will have a long lasting impact on the community as the long-term goal is for the city of Long Beach to continue to host these resource fairs and continue to spread awareness. If possible, please consider making a small donation or simply sharing our fundraiser to help us reach our goal and make a difference by becoming a voice for those impacted by poverty.
