Empower Local Conservation with Lilli and Aislinn

Help Us Support Community-Led Conservation in Indonesia!
Hi! We’re Lilli and Aislinn, two passionate wildlife conservationists who recently completed our MSc in Wildlife Conservation at Oxford Brookes University. Right now, we’re on the ground in Indonesia, working with agroforestry communities to support local biodiversity monitoring. Unfortunately, our inital funding fell short and is now less than half of what we calculated to undertake this project.
This project builds on research we began during our master’s degrees, where we explored how farmers in Indonesia interact with wildlife in their agroforests and surveyed primate populations. Now, we’re taking that work further—training and equipping farmers with tools to observe and record the biodiversity on their land in Lombok and Borneo as well. These efforts not only protect species and ecosystems, but also strengthen climate resilience, local knowledge, and long-term stewardship.
Why we need your help:
We’ve self-funded much of our travel and fieldwork, but our initial funding has fallen short. Your support will help cover essential costs like rent payments back at home, local travel, translation, workshop materials, and accommodation—so we can stay in Indonesia and deliver the workshops and trainings we’ve planned.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us continue this important work and grow a model of conservation that is locally led, sustainable, and inclusive.
Thank you so much for being here and for believing in grassroots conservation.
