With your support, Fareezah has grown into a community where needy children find hope and opportunity. We now provide free education to more than 450 children from migrant families, domestic workers, and daily wage earners across two campuses in Rawalpindi. Each child we reach has a story of struggle and resilience, and through education, we help them rewrite it with promise and possibility.
Fareezah is a grassroots social initiative
In 2016, a group of high school friends came together with a simple but powerful idea: education should be accessible to every child. We believed that even small efforts could bring real change. From this belief, Fareezah was born. What started as a vision among friends has become a growing movement, proving that transformation happens when people come together for a cause.
The strength of our work lies in the power of community. Fareezah is living proof that collective action makes a difference. With the generosity of our supporters, we have helped keep children in school, lowered dropout rates, and given many their first real opportunity to break free from the cycle of poverty.
Education does not just change individual lives, it strengthens families and uplifts entire communities.
Progress over the years
Over the years, we have watched our students grow and thrive. Some of our earliest students have reached the 9th grade — the first in their families to do so. This milestone is more than just a number. It represents new possibilities for these children and their families. Fareezah has provided them with more than just an education, we have tried to guide them through their unique challenges and shown them that their dreams are within reach.
Current context of educational access
Yet, the need remains immense. An estimated 22-28 million children in Pakistan are out of school. This crisis is not limited to rural areas. Even in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, children from working-class backgrounds, particularly those whose parents are domestic workers, are left behind. Financial insecurity, lack of documentation, and systemic barriers keep them from getting the education they deserve. Fareezah steps in where others cannot, giving these children a seat in the classroom and a future filled with opportunity. Your support makes this possible.
Our immediate goals and needs
As we look ahead to 2025-2026, we are preparing to expand our campuses by introducing afternoon shifts. This will allow us to accommodate more children (number depending on the funds raised) who otherwise would not have access to schooling. Our goal is to reach 100% school enrollment in the areas surrounding our Kotha Kalan and Dhoke Munshi branches. This expansion means more children gaining the education they need to change their lives, and with your help, we can make it happen.
Every contribution to Fareezah goes directly to supporting these children. Our core team works tirelessly on a volunteer basis, raising funds through personal and social networks. None of us take a single rupee for ourselves. Every donation goes towards the operational costs of running the school's daily operations while our core team and our collaborators ensure that the quality of education is never compromised.
Fareezah has always been a shared effort built on trust and a commitment to giving every child the opportunities they deserve. Every rupee counts, and every supporter plays a vital role in changing lives.
