Why the Changemakers' Conference?

Liberian youth-led organizations are passionate about empowering young people to make a difference in their communities. However, they often face challenges managing resources and securing funding for impactful projects. These organizations can initiate sustainable programs to improve Liberia with the necessary support.

That's why the Changemakers' Conference is crucial. We aim to equip the leaders of youth-led organizations with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to manage their resources effectively, apply for grants, sustain and initiate their programs, and align their missions with rebuilding a better Liberia.

Investing in the next generation of leaders can create a ripple effect of positive change across Liberia. When youth leaders work together to contribute to nation-building efforts, more young people will have opportunities to develop their skills and talents. They'll learn the importance of collaboration and see firsthand the impact of their actions on rebuilding a Liberia that sustains its people.

The Changemakers' Conference 2024 is scheduled for May 29th to May 30th, 2024. Unlike previous editions, this year's conference will directly impact 15 youth-oriented organizations. Participants can apply for microgrants through the Conference’s National Vision Plan Competition (NVPC). The conference will feature a lineup of local and international guest speakers who will share their knowledge and experiences on topics such as building inclusive communities, grant writing, conflict management, professionalism in the workplace, and much more!

How will the funds be used:

1. To provide microgrants to the three winners of the National Vision Plan Competition

2. To provide refreshments for participants throughout the Conference’s

3. To fund the program’s venue
